Holtek offers free and highly Integrated development Environment software, IDE-3000, for all series of Holtek 8-bit MCUs. This IDE supports both C and Assembly language. e-Link is an online debug adapter for Holtek's new generation of OCDS architecture 8-bit Flash MCUs. Together with the HT-IDE3000 software it allows users to program and debug programs on their target boards. * e-Link also provides an ICP function for 8-bit Flash MCUs. When connected to a PC and when used together with the HOPE3000 software the e-Link can also be used as a low volume engineering programmer for HT8 Flash MCUs. * e-Link is not able to support offline programming and is not recommended for volume device programming.
OCDS chip is equivalent to its Flash MCU including debug circuits for debug purpose. The part number usually has a "V" instead of "F" which represents Flash in Hotek's 8-bt MCUs. Ex: HT66V0185 28SSOP is the OCDS chip of HT66F0185 28SSOP.
Holtek Easy DEV development board series make design easier before building your own target board. Optional purchase: e-FPCB If your target device is an 8-pin or 10-pin MCU, the OCDS only comes at 16pin minimum so it is recommended using this flexible PCB to transform a 16pin package type into an 8-pin or 10-pin package type.
